About AUDIO ARCHIVE RECORDINGS:

My Background:

I began to study guitar at age 13 many moons ago.  I have taken private piano instruction from the world famous Dr. Steve Katz. (www.thepianodude.com)  Dr. Katz refers to me as "a professional musician".

The music that I enjoy and compose can best be described as "eclectic", in that I enjoy almost all types and styles.

I enjoy working with live sounds and analog/digital audio files... It is the greatest pleasure to take a recording of a beautiful sound and make it even better.

I am currently upgrading to a Tascam digital audio workstation using Cubase software in Windows XP.  The Tascam FW-1884 is turning out to be a dream... and so very easy to use.

For previous recordings, I have used the following equipment:  Fostex recorders, Paul Reed Smith guitars, Sovtek amps, Fender guitars, amps & cables, BOSS pedals, Dunlop pedals, SHURE mics, Peavey preamps, & mics, AKG mics, MAPEX drums, Zildjian cymbals, Paiste cymbals, Sabian cymbals, Pearl drums, TEAC and SONY CD recorders, Baldwin pianos, Steinway pianos, Boston pianos, and Yamaha keyboards.

EDUCATION:

I received an Associate Degree in Liberal Studies, Magna Cum Laude, from Southwest Tennessee Community College, Memphis, TN, 2005.  I graduated from Watkins Overton High School, Memphis, TN in 1990.  In 1997, I completed trade school and am now considered a Journeyman Painter by the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT).
